Lost in Transit 🚚, Ignored by Customer Service 😤: A Cautionary Tale
I'm writing this as a cautionary tale for anyone thinking of ordering glasses online. After patiently waiting for nearly three weeks for sunglasses that never arrived, I was forced to engage with a customer service experience that was beyond frustrating. My hope for a simple status update turned into a dead-end conversation that left me feeling completely helpless and disrespected. In the end, I concluded that this website is always a bit of a risk as far as experiences go. However, after almost three weeks of waiting for my sunglasses, I contacted their customer service to get a status update (the shipping label had been created, but the status never changed from label created) and the rep told me she couldn't provide an update. She used the statement "no worries" in our chat. She also said she could not contact the courier, as she "does not have a way to do that". That just seems to be a boldfaced lie (customer service number, anyone?). When you spend your hard earned money on an item and trust a business to provide that item to you in a timely fashion per their own policy, you should not be told not to worry if they can't even tell you where that item is at the moment. This place is a longshot at best. I suggest going elsewhere. You will sleep better at night.
Customer: Hi, I'm checking on my order. The tracking number has said "label created" for almost three weeks with no movement. Can you tell me where my package is?
CS Rep: I understand you're looking for an update. Let me check… I see the label was created, but I cannot provide a further update at this time. No worries, though.
Customer: What do you mean, "no worries"? I've been waiting weeks. Can't you just contact the courier and find out what the delay is?
CS Rep: I understand your concern, but I do not have a way to contact the courier. My system only shows the same information you see.
Customer: You can't contact them? That sounds like a lie. You're the shipper. I spent my money, and you're telling me you have no idea where my order is and can't find out?
CS Rep: I apologize for the inconvenience. I can open an investigation with our shipping department, but it may take several days to get a response.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
