A Double Dose of Disappointment: My Terrible Experience with EyeBuy Direct 👎
I'm sharing my terrible experience with EyeBuy Direct as a warning to others. I ordered prescription glasses, progressive lenses with the blue light filter. I’m afraid I don’t have many positive things to say about EyeBuy Direct. The glasses received did not have the blue light filter. I contacted EyeBuy Direct and was sent replacement glasses. Not only did the replacements not have the blue light filter, clear vision through the glasses was only possible in the straight forward view. View to either side is distorted and blurry. The quality just isn’t there, and I will not be able to use either of the glasses shipped to me. This unacceptable experience is what forced me to contact their customer service.
Customer: I’m calling about my replacement order. The first pair didn't have the blue light filter, and this new pair is exactly the same, plus the side vision is completely blurry and distorted.
CS Rep: I am so sorry to hear that the replacement pair also has these issues. It's completely unacceptable that you've received two unusable pairs of glasses, and I sincerely apologize.
Customer: I can't wear either of them. While I appreciate you trying to help before, the quality just isn’t there. I suppose you get what you pay for.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration. We've clearly failed to meet our quality standards. I can process a full refund for you immediately and send a shipping label so you can donate them.
Customer: A refund is the least you can do. Fine. I'll send them to a charity; they might be better than no glasses at all for someone in need.
CS Rep: I've processed that refund for you, and the donation label is on its way to your email. Again, my apologies for this entire experience.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
